Peach Crisp in Jars
This Peach Crisp in Jars provides all the amazing tastes of a classic peach crisp served in canning jars for a fun presentation!
Peach Crisp in Jars
This week the Sunday Supper gang is sharing recipes inspired by the Desserts In Jars cookbook by Shaina Olmanson. I’ve only made a few desserts using this method…and I was delighted for an excuse to try out some cute Weck jars I purchased this past winter. Peach crisp is one of my go-to summer desserts…and making individual servings in glass containers turns this homey dish into a company worthy grand finale.
In fact, Bill was out to eat with a couple of his buddies…when he sheepishly called asking if he could bring the fellows by for dessert. I had just unpacked some new dishes…and boxes and papers were strewn across the kitchen floors. Great timing. But I quickly tidied up and greeted the sugar starved guests with these Peach Crisp in Jars….who licked their plates, er…jars…clean.

I’d love to make the Red Velvet Wedding Cake In A Jar!
These little individual servings of treats are perfect for the summer. Just bought a flat of peaches so this crisp is a distinct possibility. They look delicious!
I have never cooked in a jar and actually, it does not look difficult but it looks great. I have to buy some jars and try this. Peaches always talk to me.
As much as I adore this dessert (I do!), I’m kind of obsessed with the background “props” in your photo. That ice cream bowl! And is that a big fleur-de-lys?
What a cool way to serve a crisp… love the jars. 🙂 I have never tried peach crisp… but that shall be remedied soon. 🙂
Jars or ramekins, the peaches now on the market are screaming to be made into crisps, crumbles and cobblers! Yours look scrumptious!

Peach crisp is one of the ones I was thinking of doing. Love how yours turned out too!
What an amazing and funny idea! I have never seen it before. I have lots of jars (I preserve like crazy every year so I keep empty jars until I start filling them, usually end of July or later). I will definitely try this magical trick.
I love peach desserts and your peach crisps look absolutely amazing! Such a fun and cute way to enjoy them too 🙂
I just bought Weck jars too, Liz! I love them! I’m kind of freaked out about baking with them (glass in a hot oven?!) but if you did it without disaster, I’m sure it’ll be fine. Which is perfect, because now I want to make your gorgeous peach crisps!
Well, how beautiful are these dessert treats?!?!
I really want to try to bake cake in jars…I have not yet tried it out but am curious to see how it turns out!

Love these Liz! They look fantastic and I’m ready for one right now with a scoop of that vanilla ice cream on top. Please serve mine warm! I’m not fussy or anything………
Peach crisp is my favorite thing to do/make with peaches. I would have to try this recipe out in jars!
I bought a case of jars about a month ago and they’re waiting patiently for me to use them. Looks like their time has come.
If I had more patience to peel peaches, I’d have peach crisp once a week while peaches are in season!
What dessert would I make? Easy Peasy – Your Peach Crisp recipe shown here. That looks SO yummy!
Super great idea, Liz.
What a gorgeous theme my friend, these personalised jars are too cute and delicious 😀

Wow sounds perfect. What a great idea! 🙂
blueberry crisp in a jar! yum!
What a perfect way to present peaches and a delicious way to devour them Liz! Peaches were my dad’s favorite fruit and he loved the fresh peaches that I would bring home to Ames from SC every summer. He swore (like many peach afficiandos) that SC has the best and sweetest peaches in the world. He would grab a peach straight out of the bushel that I’d lug into the house and immediately sit down and eat it with all of the juices dripping down his chin! Peaches bring beautiful memories to me!

Great looking dessert! Love the presentation. For some reason peach crisp isn’t something we do, and I don’t know why – we make all sorts of other crisps. Gotta try it with peaches, since they’re coming into season. Good stuff – thanks.
Oh, man, Liz! We’ve got some of the best peaches around, making their way to us from the nearby South Carolina. Just saw a stand today and wondered what to make. THIS!!!! Yum!

I just love individual desserts and this looks and sounds incredible. It’s so nice that you had just made these for Bill’s buddies. It’s gotten incredible hot and humid here so I’ll have to bookmark it for the cooler weather when I won’t mind turning on the oven. That cookbook looks lovely too.
I have to figure out how to do them without cooking them first I hate washing the jars! But I certainly will be trying to make this awesome choice in crisps wow these look fabulous !
